Peter Walton, Clerk of Session
Peter Walton has served as Clerk of Session at Stroud since May, 2011 and as an elder since September 26, 2004.
Born and raised in Toronto and son of a hardware store owner in the downtown area, he brings a tone and dignity to the office of Clerk arising out of his professional experience as a licensed funeral director for many years and representative of an internationally based luggage company. Peter is also well connected with the musical community through his membership with the County Chordsmen.
Peter and his wife enjoy the community of Sandy Cove Acres where he well serves his own elder’s district. They also have an African Grey parrot named “Kirby” who sometimes sounds a lot like Peter and his telephone.
